Journal of Statistical Research aims to improve the quality of research and to develop methods and applications in statistics, econometrics, operations research and similar disciplines.

Studies in statistics, econometrics, operations and similar disciplines will be included. It is expected to contribute to science and practice by publishing original research, reviews, technical notes, critical reviews and discussion articles.

The Journal accepts articles in Turkish and English.

The references and reference citations should be in the APA Style. The abstract of the article should be no more than 200 words and the full text of the article should be no more than 8500 words.

Publication Ethics Statement  

Journal of Statistical Research is committed to apply the principles of the Code of Conduct for Journal Editors prepared by the Committee of Publication Ethics (COPE).

Journal of Statistical Research is adapted the 3rd edition of the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), the Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA) and the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME).

Responsibilies of the Authors

The responsibility of the articles published in the journal belongs to the author(s). The articles must be certified that they are original, has not previously been published elsewhere or in the process of publishing.

It is the responsibility of the author to ensure that the article is in accordance with scientific and ethical standards and rules. The authors must certify that the article is original, has not been previously published elsewhere, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, in another language. The author(s) must have necessary permissions and acknowledgements for the copyright of the data used in the processes of the reserach /measurement tools/ analysis.

Copyright materials (e.g. tables, figures or extensive quotations) must only be used with appropriate permission. Any work of other authors, contributors or sources must appropriately be credited and referenced.

Submitted articles are double-blind peer reviewed by at least two referees. Plagiarism, duplication, bogus claims of authorship/denied authorship,fraudulent use of data, article slicing, publishing by slicing, copyright infringement and concealment of conflict of interest are considered as unethical behaviors.

All articles that do not comply with accepted ethical standards are withdrawn from publication. This includes also articles with possible irregularities and inconsistencies detected after publication.

Responsibilites of the Editors and Referees

The editor-in-chief evaluates articles regardless of the authors' ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, religious beliefs, and political philosophy. He/she provides a fair double-blind peer-review for the submitted articles. He/she ensures that all information regarding the submitted articles will remain confidential before publishing. The editor-in-chief is responsible for the content and the overall quality of the publication.

Editor-in-chief does not allow any conflicts of interest between authors, editors and reviewers. He/she has full authority to designate a referee and is responsible for making the final decision on the articles to be published in the Journal.

Referees are researchers and scientists who act as reviewers for the submitted articles. Referees reviews the articles impartially and ensures the confidentiality of the submitted information. In case of copyright infringement and plagiarism, he/she reports directly to the Editor-in-chief.

Referees adheres to the work schedule. In case of non-compliance with the work schedule, informs to the editor and, if necessary, can ask editor to assign another referee to be appointed. Reviewers should have no conflict of interest.  

The application and evaluation process for the article submission to the journal is free of charge.

Athors of the articles may not request a charge from TurkStat or Journal Editor for their articles to be published in the Journal. Together with the application, "Copyright Transfer Agreement Form" must be signed with wet signature by all authors and uploaded to DergiPark with the paper or sent to journal@tuik.gov.tr e-mail address For the article to be published, it must be approved by all co-authors.
